Gut Nourishing Applesauce

RECIPE

1. Steam 4 peeled apples until soft

2. Add to food processor to blend until smooth

3. Add 1 tsp coconut oil to warm sauce and stir until melting

4. Add a pinch of cinnamon to the sauce

5. Add 1 tbsp sauerkraut brine to sauce (no vinegar, and buy refrigerated sauerkraut)


If possible, I would choose organic apples, as apples are one of the most heavily sprayed fruits. Just be aware that apple sauce can cause constipation. You could use any other fruits, like pears, if your little one is experiencing trouble with bowel movements.
